Challenges Faced
There are many aspects to Greens on Screens’ business. From café & bar to golf simulator training to events and even simulator machine sales, their diverse business range means that paperwork is often a concern. Being a small team they often have to spend lots of time out of the office. Important paperwork such as finances, food and beverage orders, inventory, billings, employee records are usually spread out over various individual laptops and often can’t be accessed readily on the move.
Even if documents are emailed across, the copy that was most recently emailed is usually not the most updated copy. This means that a lot of time is wasted synchronizing files across all the different users.
Document security can also be an issue with having multiple users on a single terminal. With confidential records such as employee records on file, keeping files on a shared computer terminal is not advisable. However, often the situation may not be helped due to limited resources.
